  All food is Frozen. Evening serveurs dont know their wines. If food is not Frozen (elggplant cannelloni) it's blend. Bread plates are the worst plates I have ever seen. The view is good and the maître d is good but anything else is deceiving.

  Went here for breakfast, it was good but not amazing and prices are high. Unless you are really not feeling like to leaving the Rimrock go somewhere else. Banff has a lot of other places that are better for breakfast or brunch.

  Food was Ok at best, cauliflower soup was tasteless, sent back the beranaise sauce due to being cold and it came back cold again. Not anyone's fault really but there was a rather large table of very loud men yelling during our whole meal. Wouldn't come back. Service was good though :) view was great.

  We made reservations at the Primrose for Dec 13, booking them a couple of weeks in advance of our night in Banff. I made them online and they were followed up with a confirmation from the restaurant. Two days ago, I received a phone call from a girl there stating that her “manager just came to her”… “they are not going to open the restaurant that night.” I expressed my disappointment as this is a very special night for us. I asked if we could move our reservation to the Sunday or Monday (Dec 11 & 12) before. She informed me that the restaurant will not be open either of those days either. She let me go so she could speak with the restaurant manage. Not long after, she called me back and offered me a 30% discount on our meal if we would like to come another day “that week”. That was very generous, but, unfortunately, we will be away/working. We are incredibly disappointed as this is a very special time and place for us so we made sure all of our reservations and plans were in place to avoid any hiccups.
  
  What I don’t understand is how a restaurant like this decides to close (no reason given - I asked), last minute, and call their patrons to cancel their scheduled reservations…at Christmas time! Needless to say, we had to change our plans. We are local to the area, so finding another place in the Bow Valley to celebrate was not hard :)
